Catholic Cemeteries Mission Statement

“The mission of the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Washington, Inc., is to perform the Corporal Work of Mercy of burying the dead of the Archdiocese and to witness our faith and hope in the Resurrection in so doing. In fulfilling this mission, Catholic Cemeteries is charged with the responsibility of providing for the burial needs of the Catholic community of the Archdiocese.”

The Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Washington, Inc. is the central archdiocesan agency for the coordination of burial activity within the Archdiocese. It operates and maintains Archdiocesan cemeteries for the burial of the dead and provides assistance to pastors in the operation of parish cemeteries.
